I pushed myself and was not winded.
Walking quickly from 6th and Stewart to the Seattle ferry, I was still running late. I then pushed myself when I reached the ferry terminal, speed walking the steep runway ramp. Hearing last call to catch the 5:30pm to Bainbridge spurred me to run: I just had to catch that ferry. Mind you I was carrying my briefcase and other business items at the time. I gave it my best, I pushed myself, and I made it!
As the ferry crossed the beautiful Puget Sound waters, I was very composed and it occurred to me I wasn't out of breath. In fact, I was breathing quite normally. I was relaxed and enjoying the beauty of our great northwest waterways. How exciting, this was another development in my quest for being my best.
In the past, though I consider myself fit, I would not have completed that run without being thoroughly winded. I probably would have missed the ferry. Though I kick-box, cycle, and speed walk, running has never been an option for me. I could never catch my breath properly. So what made such a dramatic difference?
I believe it is in working with Dr. Kelley, and developing a personalized plan of action.
My first visit began with a thorough consultation and examination. We also took the time and got to know each other. I believe he understood my issues and concerns. Next, he presented me with a novel and exciting approach, and we got started.
My first win was a foot pain that began to subside within a visit or two with Dr. Kelley. This was after a year of another type of care,at a cost in the thousands. I now notice that my posture is changing, for the better. Now my energy is improving and of course my lung capacity has also increased!!
It is fantastic. Dr. Kelley's approach is personalized and to the point. He explains what we are doing and why. It's refreshing to have a doctor that actually cares! Jane
